10 years
of existence for the BNP Paribas Emergency & Development Fund. This endowment fund, which stems from our employees’ wish to help victims of natural and human disasters, is dedicated to raising emergency funds. As an independent legal structure, it benefits from a 100% matching system, by BNP Paribas, of donations from employees and customers. It supports four NGO partners: three historical partners, Médecins Sans Frontières, Care and the Red Cross, which were joined in September 2020 by Ifaw, an organisation working on the impact of natural disasters on fauna and flora.
As part of the “Projet Banlieues” (Suburbs Project), launched in 2006 by the BNP Paribas Foundation and led by Commercial & Personal Banking in France, the milestone of one thousand associations supported was crossed in 2022, with 1,035 local associations, based in priority urban areas, and 900,000 beneficiaries. On this occasion, the BNP Paribas Foundation launched the “Projet Banlieues” award and selected, with the Commercial & Personal Banking in France regional departments and their employees, 12 favourite associations, among which three winners received a bonus of €5,000, in addition to the three-year support package obtained as part of the call for projects.
