Strategy for 2025

With the launch of the GTS 2025 strategic plan, the CIB division aims to be the preferred European partner for its corporate and institutional clients over the long term. It focuses on supporting them in their transition to a more sustainable model.

The development of this strategy is based on three priorities:

  • capitalise on the Group’s diversified and integrated model;
  • leverage its ability to connect its corporate and institutional franchises;
  • gain new market share in a consolidating industry.
Progress in 2022

In an uncertain context that distressed markets, each of the business lines and regions generated growth and made progress on the 2025 strategy, thus confirming Corporate & Institutional Banking’s positioning as a world leader among European CIBs.

In 2022, the division thus:

  • consolidated its position as a partner of reference in the transition to a low-carbon economy and, end of 2021, created the Low-Carbon Transition Group (LCTG);
  • continued to strengthen its technological platforms and optimise its operating model with a focus on partnerships with fintechs and targeted acquisitions;
  • accelerated its inter-regional dynamics by rolling out its offers in all its regions;
  • developed its equity franchise particularly by investing in its sectoral expertise and executional capabilities.
